Hey, I'm Barez. I'm an Illustrator, Concept Artist, and Graphic Designer. I've been drawing since I was a toddler (and I promise I've improved). My work is built on a few core rules: reality is just a starting point, so I tweak it, push the colors, and look for the story. I believe in dropping the stoic corporate act and connecting on a human level. Life is weird, and humor and satire are the best tools we have to highlight its absurdities.

As a mixed-race artist, representation is baked into my process. I want to help tell the untapped stories of underrepresented demographics, whether that's in a sci-fi concept, a brand identity, or a satirical comic. I hold a Bachelor of Media Arts in Animation from Emily Carr and a background in Graphic/Web Design from BCIT. Over the years, I’ve worked as a Concept Artist, Illustrator, and Storyboard Artist for studios like Hyper Hippo, Zafin, and MetaFrenzy.
